It’s not just recreation but education – it’s UNIQUE PLAY!

 

Outdoor School of Bangkok (Early Years) follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum of England. The kindergarten offers play-based learning, and an inquiry-based Teaching style. When planning, we consider seven areas of learning and development.

  • Communication and language

  • Physical development

  • Personal, social and emotional development

  • Literacy

  • Mathematics

  • Understanding of the world

  • Expressive arts and design

 

In addition, the kindergarten is unique for its commitment to outdoor play. Because we know that young children learn best through hands-on discovery and when they are relaxed and having fun. The forest kindergarten model keeps children excited about learning by building on their own discoveries and interests and increases their connection with the natural environment.

Foundation

The foundation stage (1.8 - 3 years) focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to develop their physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills through play and exploration.

Reception

The reception stage (4 - 6 years) builds on the foundation stage and focuses on preparing children for primary school education. Children develop literacy and numeracy skills, as well as their social and emotional skills, through a mix of play-based and structured activities.

4-6 years | 9:00 - 14:00

STEAM

A STEAM class for 7-12 year olds is an educational program that focuses on teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through hands-on, project - based learning. The aim is to foster creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students, as well as an appreciation for the interdisciplinary nature of these subjects.

Extra Curricular

Extra-Curricular Clubs (ECC) are activities that take place outside of the regular school curriculum. They can include sports, music, art, drama, clubs, and community service.
